Practical Parenting Workshops

These workshops will provide you with a better understanding of the issues that our children face on a daily basis. You will be better prepared to communicate with and help develop your children to be successful at home and at school. We look forward to serving you at our Practical Parenting Workshops throughout the school year.

For Parents

Your involvement and participation in your child's education is vital to academic success.
We encourage you to communicate frequently with the staff and administration here at Salazar Elementary. All parental feedback is taken very seriously, and we use that information to help us provide a school environment that is conducive to student learning and high achievement.

From the Principal

The first semester has zoomed by and the mission of “Reaching New Heights” is clearly in our sights!!!  The semester brought an abundance of learning for all students who are continuously working towards the goal of mastering all subject areas at grade level.

The second semester will be filled with rigorous and challenging class assignments along with after school tutorials.  We have also scheduled educational field trips in which students will be able to take their learning experience to the next level.

Parents, please help us help your child by having them attend school every day.  Attending school regularly will give them a better opportunity in mastering their grade level and passing the STAAR test.

I want to thank everyone (Parents, PTA, Faculty, Staff,) who has made the first semester at Salazar a very enjoyable and successful one.  Let’s continue to work together as one big family in the effort to build a quality education for each individual student.

As always we are here to answer any questions or concerns.  Do not hesitate to call or come by.
